Creative Summer Groups

Hitt Husid (The Other House) has in recent years had supervision with what is called Creative Summer Groups with the City of Reykjavik during summertime. At the beginning of each year, various groups apply for assistance in order to realize their ideas and projects. The groups are then employed in collaboration with the Student's Employment Agengy. The groups are formed by the young people themselves, they work independently and have even received grants from various funds, institutions and organizations. Hitt Husid pays them wages, usually provides facilities for rehearsal and assists in various ways. The number of these groups is variable from year to year.
