To celebrate Yoko Ono's birthday on February 18th, the IMAGINE PEACE TOWER will be lit for one day.

Yoko Ono is born in Tokio, Japan but moved to USA after the Second World War. She married John Lennon in 1969 and together they campaigned for peace, justice and human rights.

The IMAGINE PEACE TOWER was illuminated for the first time on October 9th 2007, on John Lennon's birthday and is dedicated to his memory.

On spring equinox, March 20th, the IMAGINE PEACE TOWER will light up the Reykjavik sky again for one week.
