REYKJAVIK CHILDREN´S CULTURAL FESTIVAL IN VIÐEY ISLAND

Reykjavik Children’s Culture Festival

Children’s culture, culture for children and culture with children. These are the three main aspects of this festival held for the first time this year from 19.04. till 25.04. Reaching all corners of Reykjavik city from the slopes of Mt. Esja to the bottom of the swimming pools, the festival is meant to become an annual event. It stretches all over Reykjavik as far as the Islands around the capital city.

In Viðey we celebrate the first day of summer and invite kids to come and enjoy the wonderful storytelling of our beloved actress Guðrún Ásmundsdóttir and her friends.

The program begins at 3pm and takes about 40 mins.

The ferry to Viðey departs from Skarfabakki at 1:15pm, 2:15pm and 3:15 pm

Trips back from Viðey are at 2:30pm, 3:30pm and 4:30pm

Prices for the ferry are isk.1000 for adults and isk. 500 for children.

Free for children 6 years and younger.

Viðeyjarstofa Café is open and special festival offers on the menu.
