NATIONAL DAY CELEBRATIONS ON JUNE 17TH, WOMENS MARATHON ON SATURDAY AND THE WONDERFUL VIÐEY FESTIVAL ON SUNDAY

We celebrate our National Day in Viðey with a guided tour around the island with Örlygur Hálfdanarson, who is born and raised in Viðey. The tour is in Icelandic.

The Womens Marathon will take place all over Iceland next Saturday and Viðey is no exception. We expect women of all ages wearing the wonderful orange T-Shirts of the Marathon to come to Viðey and take part in this event. T-Shirts available in Viðey. Registration takes place in Viðey on Saturday. Warm up starts at 12:30 and the Marathon (3 km)itself at 13:00.

Sunday will be full of excitement as we celebrate our annual Viðey Festival. It is a day for the whole family to come together and play games and enjoy the endless entertainment and fun in Viðey. Detailed list of events available on our website shortly.
