Round Table Lessons Learned in Reykjavik
In this short and rather informal panel discussion will conference delegates get the chance to share ideas and questions the Reykjavik Summer Event did invoke. What did we learn? What was interesting? What was not? What are our next steps? Generally an open and honest discussions which we hope that delegates will take time to think about and share their thoughts. |

Technical Visits
A. Visit to CCP - CCP is an Icelandic gaming company that focuses on massively multiplayer online games (see www.ccpgames.com and www.eveonline.com). Currently developing and publishing EVE Online which has many innovative features such as the single world approach, sandbox design and player driven economy in a world of more than 300.000 players. CCP as a company is also very unique. With operations in three continents with almost 400 employees CCP has always made excellence in technology and management as a core value for the company. In this visit we will review the company’s history since founding in 1997, current operational status and future prospects. We will of course also give you an insight into the amazing world of EVE Online.
B. City of Reykjavik Department of Environment & Transport
Eygerður Margrétardóttir, Head of Policy and Development, will introduce the Local Agenda 21 for the City of Reykjavik and how we implemented the policy through „Reykjavik´s Green Steps“. Eva G. Þorvaldsdóttir, Head of the Botanical Garden of Reykjavik, will welcome guests in the Botanical Garden and introduce the environmentally friendly operation, role and history of the Garden which was founded in 1961. Sigurður Friðleifsson, manager of the Energy Agency in Iceland, will introduce the work already undertaken in developing CO2 calculators available online and their actions to increase green awareness amongst the public. |
