12.01.2012

Reykjavik's favourite festival is back! The Reykjavik Winter Lights Festival will be held 9-12 February and is packed with exciting events.

The Festival celebrates both winter and the growing light after a long period of darkness. It is an event to be enjoyed by all, locals and visitors alike, and features an amazing array of events including theatre, street performances, dance, visual arts and much more. All the major cultural and educational institutions participate in the festival and sports clubs, galleries, artists, shops, restaurants and many more join in the fun. All events are free of charge.

The theme this year is Amazing Darkness and the following are among the festival highlights:

Opening act by the winner of the Electric sculpture contest - Thursday 9 February
