The goal is to highlight exemplary work in Reykjavík. The awards are intended to encourage staff and promote innovation and professional development. The awards recognize excellent work that benefits children and parents, serving as a model for others in the field.
Anyone can nominate
Nominations are open for the Preschool and Day Care Council's encouragement awards for early childhood education and day care in Reykjavík. Nominations are open from Nov. 2, 2026, through Jan. 15, 2027. Nomination registration form
Anyone can submit a nomination, including children's parents and other immediate family members, as well as staff at preschools, day care services, associations and institutions. Nominations may be submitted for innovation and development projects that go beyond the workplace's regular activities. Above all, the project should inspire others and serve as an example of good work, both within the workplace and beyond. Three outstanding projects will receive awards.
