The deed of transfer and other closing documents for Ísaksskóli’s purchase of the property at Bólstaðarhlíð 20 were signed today.

The school once again owns the building that has been its home for decades, securing a solid foundation for its future operations.

The purchase is based on a repurchase right agreed upon with Reykjavík City in 2011, and the signing marks an important milestone in Ísaksskóli’s 100th anniversary year.

The sale stems from a 2011 agreement when Reykjavík City bought the property from the independent foundation. That contract included a 15-year provision allowing the school to repurchase the facility once its finances allowed

Ísaksskóli students gathered in the assembly hall and sang several songs to mark the occasion.
Nemendur Ísaksskóla komu saman á sal og sungu nokkur lög í tilefni tímamótanna.

Congratulations, Ísaksskóli!
